Kurt became involved part way through this $ 7 million project to provide additional electrical engineering support to assure meeting a critical project completion date. He worked part time for 4 months. The Debarker was started up
on schedule.
The project consisted of the design and installation of an all-new log handling, rotary debarking and conveyor system to feed an existing 1000 HP log chipper. The project included state of the art PLC networks, intelligent motor control centers, touch screen operator interfaces and multiple variable frequency drives.

Analyze & redesign existing 1000 HP synchronous motor controller
Design of synchronous motor field forcing circuitry

Startup & troubleshooting
Documentation updating
